Meet The LEFCON Leadership Team

Jim Lefcakis
Founder & President

Jim's path to LEFCON began not in IT but in emergency services — he graduated high school in 1992 and became a paramedic, quickly becoming the go-to technology resource for his dispatch center and neighboring police station. In 1996 he founded Leftech, building high-quality PCs at a fraction of commercial cost, landing a contract to build 30 computers for the University of Pittsburgh, and growing to 10 employees before selling the company in 1999.

In 2000, a connection through his brother introduced Jim to the executive chef at the Westin Pittsburgh — the beginning of a partnership with the hotel industry that never ended. He established Lefcakis Consulting that same year, providing IT support to hotel clients while working as a Systems Programmer at Pitt. By 2003 he was making regular weekend trips to the Renaissance Chicago. By 2011, Lefcakis Consulting was supporting more than 15 hotels with 24/7/365 operations. In 2014, the first full-time employee was hired.

A 2015 partnership with Amiel Cabiling at Hard Rock Chicago marked a turning point. In 2017, Jim left Pitt, rebranded as LEFCON, and built the company to 80+ employees and a portfolio of 400+ hotels.

Jim has been married to Annie for 22 years and they share four children. The family shares their home with Golden Retrievers Copper and Bo, and Golden Doodle Elway. Jim is a certified dive master, drone pilot, and passionate about Greek cooking and old scotch.
Amiel Cabiling
Senior Vice President

After a childhood on the beaches of Guam immersed in the hospitality industry, Amiel joined LEFCON in 2015 with over 25 years of experience. His career spans front desk agent, front office manager, housekeeping manager, purchasing director, IT Manager, and IT Director at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Hard Rock Hotels and Resorts, and Onward Beach Resort — a perspective that uniquely positions him to translate hotel operations into real-world technology solutions.

As a senior leader, Amiel focuses on business growth and leading the operations and projects teams. He still gets his hands dirty on the most complex projects — you'll find him in the field leading teams of engineers opening and transitioning properties.

Amiel enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
Rick Cano
VP of Business Development

Rick's hospitality career began in Chicago with Marriott Hotels & Resorts over 20 years ago — spanning Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Rooms Operations before dedicating himself to technology and hotel openings. After Marriott, Rick joined a top hotel management company, working across Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt, Hilton, and other world-renowned brands. In 2014 he joined Virgin Hotels, helping shape the hotels of the future.

Rick joined LEFCON as VP of Business Development in January 2022, focused on sustainable growth, team mentorship, and ensuring the customer experience remains the priority at every stage.

Rick enjoys cooking, exploring off-the-beaten-path local restaurants with his fiancé, and spending time with their Boston Terrier, Kylo Renee.
Brian Yoshioka
VP of Employee Experience

Brian joined LEFCON in April 2022 with over 25 years of experience in sales, learning, leadership, and consulting across companies of all sizes and diverse industries. A PI Certified Talent Optimization Consultant, Brian leverages data and insights to optimize talent strategy and organizational performance. His passion is developing self-aware leaders who embrace change and achieve their goals.

As VP of Employee Experience, Brian improves and protects the employee environment that makes LEFCON's 24/7 operations possible — recognizing that consistent client service begins with consistent team investment.

Brian and his wife Tanya enjoy watching their son play lacrosse and football and their daughter compete in dance and cheerleading.
Mike Devinney
VP of Operations

Mike joined LEFCON in 2019 with over 35 years of experience in business operations, executive management, and IT management. His career spans data analytics, field service engineering, IT director roles, and VP of Operations for a national security integration company overseeing IT, Project Management, Service, and Installation departments.

As VP of Operations at LEFCON, Mike is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Technical Operations Center, Network Operations Center, and Regional Field Services — ensuring every client interaction reflects the standard LEFCON is built on.

Mike is dedicated to conceiving and implementing strategic business plans that produce operational efficiencies across entire organizations.
Mike Brown
VP of Security & Technology

Mike brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience in cybersecurity and managed services to LEFCON. As VP of Security and Technology, he orchestrates and implements robust security protocols and cutting-edge technology strategies for a diverse range of clients. His expertise spans threat analysis, compliance, risk management, networking, systems integrations, Windows servers, and Audio/Video.

Mike leads LEFCON's AEGIS cybersecurity division — ensuring clients' systems remain current and digital assets remain secure in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

Mike enjoys music, building, problem solving, and spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.
Mike Streza
Director of Operations

Mike has worked in the technology industry for 30 years, including 23 years at Schneider Downs as Senior Technical Operations Manager, before joining LEFCON. A Robert Morris University graduate, Mike leads the Network Operations Center — managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 engineers and implementing the operational procedures that keep LEFCON's 24/7/365 NOC running with precision.

Mike enjoys time with his family, golf, bowling, and crafting furniture from pallet wood.
Tony Grenda
Director of Field Services

Tony's career has spanned technology support across K-12 education, hospitality, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors — from deploying videoconferencing solutions to serving as Director of Technology for multiple school districts before transitioning fully to hospitality. At LEFCON, Tony has worked with Sage Hospitality, Crescent Hotels and Resorts, Pebblebrook, Virgin Hotels, Highgate, and others — giving him a comprehensive understanding of both vendor and property perspectives.

As Director of Field Services, Tony leads the nationwide team of engineers who show up onsite when properties need hands-on support.

Tony enjoys brewing beer, attending brew fests, cycling, bowling, skiing, and cheering on Pittsburgh sports. Let's Go Pens.
Jennifer Ramus
Accounting Manager

Jennifer joined LEFCON in 2020 and was quickly promoted from Accounts Receivable to Accounting Manager. A La Roche College graduate with a bachelor's in Accounting and minor in Business Administration, Jennifer brings extensive nonprofit sector experience and expertise across Navision, Great Plains, and QuickBooks. She leads finance-focused client communications, deposit management, account reconciliation, and contract generation.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her daughter, watching and discussing sports, playing softball, and running.
